Information in preparation for the 2014-2015 registration period

Last year, the 2013-2014 Enrolment Criteria Policy was applied in some schools. As a result some students were not able to attend their zoned school or school of choice and were re-directed to another SWLSB school in the area:

In Laval, compulsory transfers were done in the following schools:

  • Mother Teresa Junior High School
  • Twin Oaks Elementary School

In the Laurentides, compulsory transfers were done in the following school:

  • Mountainview Elementary School

As SWLSB is experiencing growth, especially in Laval, more specifically in the following school attendance zones:

  • Hillcrest Academy
  • Souvenir Elementary School
  • Terry Fox Elementary School
  • Twin Oaks Elementary School
  • Mother Teresa Junior High School
  • Laurier Senior High School

In the Laurentides there is growth in the following school:

  • Mountainview Elementary School

Based on registration trends of the past years and demographic projections, the SWLSB foresees the need to apply its 2014-2015 Enrollment Criteria Policy (including compulsory transfers) during and after the upcoming registration period.

It is important that all parents look at all options in the event that their zoned school or choice of school cannot be granted. You can click on the link below to see the different schools of the SWLSB.
