Rawdon Elementary School is committed to empower students toward engaged and successful learning. Its Mission is to ensure Success For All by prioritizing reading on a daily basis, generating student-centered projects; adapting/modifying academic programs; maintaining strong links with the community and ensuring a safe learning environment by adhering to our school-wide positive behavior plan.

General Information

The school is nestled in a beautiful forested area at the north end of the Rawdon village. Rawdon Elementary School's building opened on January 11, 2000. This modern school has many excellent facilities such as a high-functioning computer lab and wireless Internet connection. Rawdon first School dates back to 1823 and has always been a stronghold of the greater Rawdon community. Formerly on Metcalfe Street, its new location is at 4121 Queen Street.

Parent Participation

RES parents play a vital role in helping the school reach its educational goals and are active contributors to school life. The Governing Board plays an instrumental role in decision-making regarding the school's policies and directions. The Parent Participation Organization supports school activities. Parents continue to assist in various extracurricular and curricular activities.
